Nurse Practitioner Preceptorship & Collaboration Services
At The Calming Minds Psychiatry Group, PLLC, we are proud to support the next generation of Nurse Practitioners by offering structured preceptorship and clinical collaboration opportunities for NP students. Our program provides hands-on experience in psychiatric care and substance use disorder treatment within a supportive, real-world clinical setting.
Students work directly with experienced NPs to develop skills in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning, including care for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, documentation, and patient-centered care.
Through a collaborative model, students gain exposure to interdisciplinary teamwork, professional communication, and evidence-based practice while meeting academic and clinical requirements. Our goal is to foster confidence, competence, and readiness for independent practice.
